Today, Merck Life Science becomes the first integrated provider of mRNA for all stages. Simply put: We're helping bring mRNA technologies to market, faster. Our two new mRNA manufacturing facilities in Germany are officially open, meaning teams across our global network now drive the complete value chain for this novel modality.    We’ve been invested in mRNA for a long time – years before it came into the spotlight with COVID-19 vaccines – because of its potential to treat diseases such as cancer, malaria, tuberculosis or HIV. With this milestone, we now support customers from preclinical to commercial, as they work to bring new mRNA therapeutics and vaccines to market. And we’re not stopping here.    Our newly opened facilities in Darmstadt and Hamburg are part of our larger, more than € 1 billion investment plan to advance mRNA technologies. Because we’re committed to our role as a key player helping fill the pipeline for these promising novel therapeutics. We know how important a robust yet streamlined offering is for our customers, especially as they aim to get critical therapies to market and to patients, faster. And we’re committed to making that potential a reality.    Congratulations to our teams in Darmstadt, Hamburg and around the world who have helped reach this critical milestone!
