With Paige Bueckers being named a WNBA All-Star Starter on the exact same day she dropped a 25-7-7 performance against Connecticut, I wanted to build a composition that felt truly out of this world. 🪐💫 Behind the Design: For this piece, I leaned heavily into a cosmic, constellation-inspired environment to reflect her star power. 🔹 Lighting & Compositing: I spent a lot of time dialing in the cyan and neon green environmental lighting. Getting the hand-painted highlights right on her Dallas Wings uniform was crucial to ensuring she felt fully immersed in the abstract space, rather than just pasted on top of it. 🔹 Depth & Focal Points: By utilizing intersecting light rays and starry particles in both the foreground and background, the goal was to drive the viewer's eye straight to the raw emotion of the celebration while building a strong depth of field. 🔹 Thematic Elements: The eclipse-like circular framing anchors the chaotic energy of the background, while the subtle wing textures in the top corners tie the celestial theme back to the team identity.
