I am delighted to announce my participation in the University of Birmingham BlueBEAR HPC Challenge 2026. This was an incredible opportunity to become acquainted with high-performance computing (HPC), where we learnt about the kinds of problems best suited for HPCs and how to create code that would best optimise execution efficiency. Addititonally, the challenge consisted of a number of problems that were an excellent combination of technical and practical, bringing in content from various disciplines - including from physics with galaxy classification using neural networks. I would like to thank my excellent teammates Aria Kidr, Jessamie Miles, Leo Storey, Matthew Garrett, and Mohammed Ridhwan Ali for all their hard work. Additionally, I would like to thank Gavin Yearwood and Neil Butcher for all their support and assistance throughout the competition.
