The Nordics #datacentre market is moving fast. The region is seeing some of the most significant hyperscaler investment in Europe right now, and when you look at what is happening on the ground, it is not hard to see why. Microsoft has committed €2.5 billion to Sweden. atNorth is building a 200 MW facility in Langsele. Finland has over 600 MW in the pipeline. The money is moving north. The reason is pretty simple: cheap renewable energy, cold climate, available land. Everything the FLAP-D markets have run out of. But the talent picture is a different story. Sweden is already staring down a shortfall of around 18,000 tech professionals a year through 2028, and that is before this wave of new builds fully hits. The companies that will win here are the ones thinking beyond the traditional data centre talent pool. The skills exist, they just sit in energy, construction, and critical infrastructure.
