Meet Purity Gakii Kirea, an MPhil Candidate in Education, Globalisation and International Development. She is also the co-founder of ColdCure Kenya. Alongside her co-founder Tasha Mapenzi, Purity is on a mission to tackle one of the most pressing challenges facing fish farmers along the Kenyan coastline. Research shows that over 10,000 tonnes of fish are lost annually in Kenya due to inadequate cold chain infrastructure and erratic power supply. These losses hit hardest in coastal communities. ColdCure's solution adopts pay-per-use, solar-powered, cold storage designed around the daily realities and income of fisherfolk. Here, Purity explains how a SEF 2.0 pitch clinic gave her the space to stress-test her idea. What she eventually discovered enlightened her.👇 https://lnkd.in/eNvtE5S7 Uche Ogechukwu #MastercardFoundation #SEF2026 #SocialImpact #AfricanFounders
