ArtInProgress | In Saint-Tropez, a new ArtInProgress project unfolds through a collaboration with artist and material researcher Luz Moreno Pinart, presenting an installation that explores the hidden narratives embedded within natural fibres and landscapes. Rooted in research conducted in a flax field in Normandy surrounded by nettles, the installation brings together flax, nettle fibres, and copper thread in sculptural works that emerge from a reflection on the raw materials of the textile industry. Through this material language, Luz Moreno Pinart reveals organic structures, delicate tensions, and interconnected forms where natural processes and human intervention coexist. Inspired by the invisible networks of nature — such as the rhizomatic systems through which plants communicate and sustain one another — the project reflects on resilience, transformation, and the layered memory of landscapes, uncovering the unseen relationships between nature, history, and culture. The works construct a silent landscape that invites a slower, more attentive reading of space, matter, and time, continuing ArtInProgress’ exploration of material sensitivity and contemporary artistic practice.
