Innovation vs. Stagnation: A Tale of Two Mindsets Hello, LinkedIn community! 🌟 Ever felt like you're just drifting through life, unsure of your goals or purpose? That's what we call a "stagnant mindset". It's like being stuck in quicksand, where the more you struggle, the deeper you sink. This mindset can arise from various circumstances, such as comparing ourselves to others, feeling overwhelmed by the vast opportunities around us, or simply feeling demotivated. On the flip side, there's the "innovative mindset". Research from Harvard Business Review highlights key characteristics of innovative individuals: 1. Opportunistic Mindset: They're alert to new opportunities and crave novelty. 2. Education & Training: They have the expertise to distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information. 3. Proactivity & Persistence: They're driven, resilient, and energetic. 4. Prudence: They're organized, cautious, and risk-averse. 5. Social Capital: They use connections to mobilize resources and build strong alliances. Hold on a minute, Innovators are risk-averse? This does not make sense! But you have to read the article to better understand how and why and the tricks and exercises to move from a stagnant state to an innovative mindset. Cheers to thinking outside the tube! 🚀 (it will make sense after you have read the article 😉) #massimobrebbia #InnovationMatters #MindsetShift
