We've partnered with Talent Central to support the expansion of Te Wānanga Nohinohi ki Te Kunenga - Children's University Massey in Manawatū. The programme gives tamariki aged 7 to 14 the chance to take part in hands-on learning experiences outside the classroom, designed to spark curiosity and build confidence. Since 2021 we've supported more than 1,350 children across the North Island through the programme, with 682 of those in Manawatū. Andrea Flavel, Director of Te Tumu Whakatipu at Massey University, says the partnership strengthens Children’s University’s ability to inspire young learners and support their journey from curiosity to capability. The new funding will boost participation from schools and communities, enhance programme resources and expand delivery across the region.
