During a high school track and field meet between Archbishop Williams High School and St. Mary's Lynn, Co-ed Catholic college-prep school, Lynn, MA back in April, an Archbishop Williams athlete finished the 200-meter race, collapsed on the track, and was unresponsive with no detectable pulse. Mass General Brigham and St. Mary's athletic trainer Winnie Victor jumped into action with others on scene to help save his life. This week, she was celebrated at the St. Mary's Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony, with the City of Lynn, Mayor Jared C. Nicholson and Lynn City Council. In a letter from the President of Archbishop Williams High School, Dennis M. Duggan, Jr., Esq., she was praised for having extraordinary poise, professionalism and clinical precision. He also said the student is doing well, and the school looks forward to his return.
