MIC researchers were well represented at the 12th Inter-Varietal Applied Corpus Studies (IVACS) Biennial International Conference, hosted by the University of Malta. IVACS is an international research network dedicated to advancing corpus linguistics through collaboration, research and knowledge exchange. The conference, which brings together researchers from across the field of corpus linguistics, was opened by IVACS Director, MIC's Professor Anne O'Keeffe. Professor O'Keeffe, Dr Joan O'Sullivan, Dr. Christopher Fitzgerald and Dr Deborah Tobin attended alongside MIC master's and doctoral students, joining delegates from 23 countries for the international event.
