CEO, Alstom

Very happy to return to Morocco. Alstom’s Fez site is a reminder that industrial performance is built through connections. The site links component activities to rolling stock projects across France, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Electrical cabinets, wiring harnesses and transformers leave Fez every day to support trains and systems far beyond Morocco. Last year the teams delivered 23,000 components. More than 25,000 are planned for next year.   What makes Fez stand out is the workforce behind that performance and focus on continuous improvement. Around 60% of the 1,400 employees are women. That says something important about modern industry: talent and know-how are widely shared, and our sector must keep opening the door wider.   The site is built around execution and reliability, and it is preparing for what comes next. A new driver desk production line expands capabilities and strengthens Fez’s role in our industrial value chain. What I will remember most is the mindset of the teams: ownership, pride, and a clear sense that their work matters far beyond Fez.
