CEO, Alstom

From Siegen to Saint-Ouen - turning transformation into performance In Siegen, where more than 800 colleagues develop and manufacture bogies for rail vehicles used worldwide, I saw a clear focus on execution. I asked the team to demonstrate, in real time, how delivery performance is managed on a concrete project. The response was structured, transparent, and to the point. This is the level of ownership we must consistently reach. It is an asset in this center of excellence's shift from new build toward stronger service capabilities. I witnessed the same dynamic today in Saint-Ouen, at the heart of our digital and integrated systems activities. The site plays a key role in shaping the future of rail systems - from signalling and automation to integrated infrastructure solutions. And delivery is tangible: through the first next-generation digital interlocking system with ARGOS in Montbard, or the fully automated metro for Lille, now in commercial service. Urbalis Fluence, Alstom’s digital signalling solution is also equipped on Line 18 of the Grand Paris Express, the newest driverless metro line for Paris. What connects Siegen and Saint-Ouen is not only expertise, but a team mindset. It was particularly visible in my exchanges with young talents. It was encouraging to see this level of engagement and ambition across our teams, with project management as the driving authority to deliver and move forward together.
