What does it actually take for street lighting to become transport infrastructure? Turns out, not much, if the detection capability is already built in. Claus Oustrup shares what our C-ITS field trial revealed: PowerAID's edge-processed sensor network, the same technology driving its adaptive lighting decisions, successfully detected a real road hazard and fed that data into a government-integrated, in-vehicle warning system. The trial didn't prove a concept. It demonstrated a working pathway into the connected transport networks road authorities are actively building toward. Well worth a read.
