From gamer to real‑world racing star and now joining Max Kruse Racing GmbH in a Golf 8 TCR supported by Volkswagen Group, Jonathan Mogotsi continues to prove that the sky is no longer the limit! Jonathan, or Jono as I fondly call him, is gearing up for the ride of a lifetime as he makes his Nürburgring debut this year! The Nürburgring is a legendary motorsport track in Germany's Eifel mountains, renowned as one of the world's most challenging racetracks. It is also known as Nordschleife which means "Green Hell”. Fresh from his 2024 SupaCup title, he is taking his Volkswagen racing dream global as he tackles NLS1 and NLS2 to secure the coveted Grade A ‘Ring Licence’. As he prepares for his 2026 Nürburgring 24‑Hour debut, Jonathan is adding yet another chapter to his remarkable 10‑year journey with Volkswagen Motorsport. The journey started with the 2016 Driver Search competition and since then he has delivered wins, titles, and unforgettable moments. With Volkswagen Motorsport and Mike Rowe backing this bold next step, as well as the whole of Volkswagen Group Africa cheering him on, Jonathan’s story is a reminder that passion, perseverance, and a little bit of grit can take you to some truly legendary racetracks.
