Very proud to see these €690 million contracts signed in Egypt: a major step forward for the country’s rail network. What stands out to me is the level of ambition from the Egyptian National Railways and public authorities: modernising key freight corridors, connecting ports to industrial zones, and making logistics more efficient across the board. This is exactly where rail can make a real difference. At Alstom, alongside our partners Rowad Modern Engineering and Concrete Plus, we know these projects are complex. But this is also what we do best: delivering large-scale signalling programmes and working closely with our partners on the ground to make them successful over time. A special mention as well to the strong local dimension of these projects, with around 50% local content. This really matters in building sustainable infrastructure. Looking forward to seeing these corridors come to life.
