From 33 % to 71 % in renewable electricity – measurable progress at MARQUARDT 🌱 Today’s World Environment Day raises global awareness of climate protection and environmental management. One of the key areas we focus on at MARQUARDT in this regard is the use of renewable energy. Between 2021 and 2025, we more than doubled our share of renewable energy from 33 % to 71 %. This helped avoiding more than 113,000 tons of carbon dioxide, roughly comparable to planting over 910,000 trees across an area of 38 square kilometers. The most significant factors for us are e. g. solar installations at several production facilities and pellet and biomass heating replacing fossil fuel systems.
