It’s here! 'A writing residency, or a conversation, and some of its characters' gathers letters and images, written and collected in the summer of 2024, during a residency with torna on the Black Sea coast. It weaves together literature references and diary entries, reflections on temporary dwelling and site, encounters with local geographies, and perspectives on slow feminist work. The letters are addressed to torna small/torna küçük, a 1:6 scale replica of the original torna space in Kadıköy, which I was invited to work with. Over the course of my two-week stay, the model gradually transformed into a writer’s studio, as personal items began to appear in miniature form.
