Many thanks to the Stellar Alpina team for the invitation to yesterday's Reveal Event, and congratulations on your successful funding round — a fantastic milestone and well-deserved recognition of the vision, ambition and hard work of the entire team. The event was made even more valuable by an outstanding panel featuring Thomas Suessli, Florian Kehl and Stefan Brupbacher. What stood out most to me was the palpable sense of "Aufbruchsstimmung" in the room. It was absolutely oozing confidence, ambition and optimism about the future of Switzerland's space sector. A few themes from the discussion particularly resonated with me: 🚀 Switzerland has the talent, capital and technical expertise to build globally relevant space companies, but we must become faster, more ambitious and more willing to take risks. As Stefan Brupbacher aptly put it: "The Swiss wake up early but get up late." 💡 Thomas Süssli made a compelling case that Switzerland's future competitiveness will be driven not by scale or natural resources, but by innovation. This requires stronger long-term strategic thinking and a willingness to back key technologies such as space, AI and quantum. His observations on the culture of rapid experimentation and acceptance of failure in other innovation ecosystems were particularly thought-provoking. 🌍 Florian Kehl's comparison between today's space economy and the early days of the internet particularly resonated with me. What once seemed niche and specialised is now indispensable. Space increasingly looks set to become an extension of Earth's economy. Combined with Stefan Brupbacher's call to modernise export regulations and create the right instruments for institutional investors, including pension funds, the message was clear: Switzerland has a unique opportunity, but it must act decisively. I left the event energised and optimistic. It was inspiring to hear leaders from industry, science and the formerly armed forces discuss how Switzerland can turn its strengths into global leadership in deep technology. Congratulations again to the entire Stellar Alpina team, and thank you for a fantastic evening. Loved it! #SpaceTech #SwissInnovation #DeepTech #NewSpace #SpaceEconomy #Switzerland
