#NEWBORN #powerelectronics with the highest power density for #aircraft applications successfully tested on an HV bus for the first time! Yesterday, we at Fraunhofer IISB had the honor of welcoming our project partners from Honeywell in the Clean Aviation PROJECT NEWBORN. We are currently in the most exciting phase of the project, as many prototypes for a MW fuel cell hybrid-electric aircraft powertrain are in the final development phase. Our team at #FraunhoferIISB is developing the power electronics for this aircraft application. The #teamspirit is excellent, and our technical lead, Ondrej Kotaba, and program manager, Miroslav Matousek, participated in the initial tests yesterday. Stay tuned for what's to come in the following months. After a successful and eventful day, we spent the evening at one of Erlangen's famous, typical beer cellars, where we enjoyed a guided tour. We celebrated our success and discussed the challenges that still lie ahead. Thanks to the whole team!
