I'm happy to share our recent work on cavity cooling of silica nanorotors to the librational quantum ground state with quantum limited alignment around two axes of rotation. This is the result of an excellent collaboration with Ben Stickler/Ulm and Uros Delic/ TU Wien and it is the sophisticated PhD work in particular of Stephan Troyer with Florian Fechtel and Lorenz Hummer. https://lnkd.in/dXJctzyp
