You were qualified. You prepared. You still did not get the role. And you have been blaming the wrong thing. It is rarely your ability. It is your legibility. Hiring managers pick the person whose value they can read quickly, not necessarily the most capable one. Skill that cannot be seen does not count in that room. Two people, same skill. The one who makes it visible wins. Every time. That visibility is a skill, and it is learnable.
