I have exciting updates to share from Ample Agriculture! Over the past three years, Kevin Roelofs, Carolyn Edelstein, Stéphane Benoit, Ph.D., Karl Yoder, Nick Haft and I have taken Ample from a shared aspiration to contribute to climate and food security to a promising product that has now been tested in cattle in both Denmark and the United States. Our goal is to redirect energy that cattle lose as methane into more productive uses, creating value for producers while reducing emissions. We’ve intentionally been quiet while validating the core biology underlying Ample’s technology. Today, I’m excited to share more of our progress and to announce that Kenny Quick is joining Ample as our new CEO! Ken joins us from Cargill, where he led the company’s feed additive business across North America, Europe, and the Middle East/North Africa. Alongside that commercial experience, he also brings his personal experience growing up on a working dairy farm. Ken is joining at an important moment for Ample as we transition from early R&D into the animal studies that will help position us for commercialization and scale. Over the last year, we completed our first cattle studies, secured additional funding from the Canadian government and launched a collaboration with the University of Georgia to develop and test a new generation of product candidates. I’m deeply grateful to our collaborators, advisors and most of all to Kevin, Stephane and Carolyn. Thank you for the countless hours you’ve invested in turning our shared vision into reality. I’m excited to continue driving Ample’s mission forward in my new role as President while also continuing my work at Seerave Ventures, where I lead Seerave’s investing and company creation activities with a focus on cancer and the human microbiome.
