Training communication skills using AI and XR

Väöl Limburgse awwersj praote waal plat mèt hun eige awwersj, hun vrun of personeel in de winkel, meh neet mèt hun kinger. ### That a child growing up in Limburg will by raised by its parents in the regional language is no longer self-evident. Many parents in Limburg speak Limburgish to their own parents, friends or employees in a store, but not to their children. Therefore, we asked students at Communication and Multimedia Design Maastricht to develop innovative communication products that can stimulate (future) parents in Limburg to give Limburgish a place in the upbringing of their children. Yesterday, the students presented their concepts at the location of their assignment provider, Hoes veur 't Limburgs. We were presented with some great ideas, including a quiz about music in Limburgish, an app for parents who are expecting, and an Instagram campaign about forgotten words. Moreover, we witnessed how this project has enabled a group of young people to reflect on the role of Limburgish in their own lives, now and in the future. That in itself is already a wonderful outcome. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the realization of this project!
