To investigate this, the Koninklijke Marine, TNO and MARIN teamed up in the Military Maritime Operation Management in Transition (MOMiT) project. In this MOMiT experiment, the focus is not on incremental improvements, but on developing revolutionary operational concepts for the navy of tomorrow. By linking multiple simulators at the Seven Ocean Simulator centre, two different forms of operational management were developed and tested. The result: clear insights into future operations—shown through a relatively simple experiment, without requiring extensive technical knowledge and expertise. Interested?
