Time for the next tracks in Maritime AI Innovation! On 12 February, we welcomed a group of new and long-standing partners from the maritime sector and the AI/engineering community to explore the next innovation tracks within the Maritime AI Innovation Lab. During this AI Innovation Event we co-created agile concepts that turn ideas into solutions and help shape the future roadmap of maritime AI. Three development tracks emerged from this first session—now being refined for the coming months: Holistic Design - integrating smart platform use into the design process Hull Geometry Encoding – creating a universal hull description to support generative AI in design studies. Operational Optimisation – improving fleet-wide planning and operations through real-time data. These proposals will be submitted to the Nederland Maritiem Land Innovation Council, where one track will be selected to launch this summer. The Lab management of the Maritime AI Innovation Lab is a collaboration between Damen, Delft University of Technology, SafeSystems B.V., RH Marine, NHL Stenden and MARIN.
