How do you prepare for the next generation of floating offshore wind? As wind turbines continue to grow in size, so do the engineering challenges. Through the ScaleWind Joint Industry Project (JIP), MARIN and its industry partners are developing and validating design methodologies for a 22 MW floating wind turbine. A key milestone in the project is a series of large-scale model tests, generating valuable data to improve our understanding of the complex behaviour of these highly flexible floating structures and reduce uncertainties in their design. 🎥 Curious to see how these tests are carried out?
