We are pleased to share that our article, “Do the redefined EUCAST susceptibility categories warrant adjustment of paediatric antibiotic dosages? Pragmatic physiologically based pharmacokinetic modelling of four commonly used agents,” has now been published. In this work, we explore the implications of the redefined EUCAST susceptibility categories for paediatric antibiotic dosing, using pragmatic physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modelling across four commonly used antibiotics. Our findings contribute to the ongoing discussion on how regulatory and interpretative changes may translate into real-world dosing decisions for children. We hope this research supports clinicians, microbiologists, and policymakers in optimizing antibiotic therapy in paediatric populations.
