Europe’s competitive edge lies in its ability to create new knowledge and cultivate the research talent that drives it. The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) are one of the most effective instruments for achieving this. 💡 As negotiations on the 10th EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP10) advance, the MCAA joins 16 university networks and research organisations in a united call to preserve and enhance the MSCA, without altering the proven model that underpins the programme’s success. For the past 30 years, the MSCA has enhanced European research excellence, boosted innovation capacity, and advanced the EU’s competitiveness by training highly skilled researchers through international, interdisciplinary, and intersectoral mobility. 🌍 Its bottom-up, research-field-agnostic approach has been crucial in ensuring that Europe continues to generate excellent researchers and knowledge across all fields, including those critical for addressing current needs and emerging challenges. In a joint statement published today, we emphasise the importance of preserving the core features that make the MSCA successful while allowing it to deliver with greater ambition. Our message is clear: Do not change Europe’s proven MSCA model; scale it and multiply its impact instead. 📄 Read more: https://lnkd.in/eXEdB8Ak The joint statement is supported by ALLEA – The European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities, Aurora Universities, CESAER, Coimbra Group, EARMA, EASSH – European Alliance for Social Sciences and Humanities, ECIU, European University Association, EU-LIFE, Eurodoc, The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities, League of European Research Universities (LERU), the MCAA, Science Europe, SSH-raad (Social Sciences & Humanities), UNICA - Network of Universities from the Capitals of Europe, and YERUN - Young European Research Universities. #MSCA #FP10
