Vienna Blockchain Week to OMFIF Digital Monetary Institute / OMFIF London in one move. This raven doesn't do layovers. 🤪🐦‍⬛🇬🇧 My conclusion of these two days in London: The bridge from theory to practice is far from built 👷‍♀️🌉 We keep talking about regulation. We keep talking about the technology. But we are not talking nearly enough about adoption, business models and incentives, or about who actually needs these solutions and why. And that gap worries me. 😖Because without real demand, without genuine use cases that solve real problems for real people, we are building things for the sake of building them. Not because they are useful. Not because they address a gap. Just because we can. 🤯 That is not good enough 😖 BUT as always, and on the positive note, 🙃being in the same room as Andrew Forson, TEP / DeFi Technologies /Valour is one of the highlights of any event. He has this rare quality of cutting straight to the practical gaps, no noise, no performance, just an honest read of where things actually stand. He reminds me every time that I still have a lot to learn. And I mean that as the highest compliment. 🖤 London also gave me somethings I didn't expect, a new German friend that speak perfect Spanish Andreas Kern (Personal View), finding out that Beatrice Fares is also a fan of F1 🏎️💚, a proper catch-up with my childhood friend Sebastian Scheel in a German restaurant in the middle of London where we somehow ordered salads (the irony is not lost on me), and a last-minute train to the airport with Remo Nyffenegger, who I met in the final five minutes of the conference and took me to an unplanned tour past statues, horses, and the Big Ben.
