Alfabeto, my ceramic tile collection for Ninefifty, has been featured in The Textile Eye, Report No. 29 — Summer 2026. The collection is built around a vocabulary of essential signs: the pattern becomes a form of writing, where geometry holds both order and variation. It appeared within Materia Milanese, the magazine's selection of surface, symbol and material from Milan Design Week, a report dedicated to reading the year's design through its materials, surfaces and gestures, with contributions from great contemporary design voices. The piece sits within the theme Contrappunto: a reflection on layered, multi-tonal geometry, where Art Deco and Bauhaus references are approached with greater rhythm, restraint and compositional control. Hand-painted and hand-incised effects soften the precision of the geometry, holding space for irregularity within an otherwise structured language of plane, line and texture.
