In times of global change, reliable networks are more valuable than ever, especially for German business. ​I am currently traveling in Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 to deepen existing partnerships and experience firsthand the tangible impact of the approach of the IPD - Import Promotion Desk. ​The takeaway from the progress monitoring so far: I am not only blown away by Sri Lanka’s overwhelming hospitality, but above all by the many export success stories made possible through the targeted support of the IPD and the impressive entrepreneurial spirit in this country! ✨ We should fully recognize and better leverage the significant role import trade plays in achieving development goals. We should invest much more heavily in the promotion of sustainable trade structures for goods and services. By doing so, we create genuine win-win situations for German foreign trade and local businesses alike.
