Ever so often, I'll listen to an old album and think everyone loved it — or, at the very least, knew about it — only to be surprised by the reality. Hadley Caliman's "Iapetus" is that record for me. Blending Latin rhythms, jazz and funk, it's an edgy album with spiritual undertones, with compositions that never drift too far left. I wrote about Caliman and this album for Active Listening. Hope it resonates in some way. https://lnkd.in/eDM6WEnn
