When the Strait of Hormuz closed, ship-to-ship transfers relocated fast. Gulf hubs fell 76% while the Gulf of Oman rose 71%. The question worth asking: is that shift a temporary adjustment, or the start of something permanent? For the moment the Strait is doing a passable impression of Schrödinger's cat, appearing, at times, both open and closed.
