With the OptiMill-Composite-Speed-Plus, MAPAL has developed a router tool specifically designed for the economical machining of composite materials at high cutting values. The combination of an in-house developed diamond coating, an increased core diameter and an optimised flute profile delivers long tool life and stable process performance. At the same time, dust and process heat are reliably removed from the machining zone. A key feature is the special cutting-edge serration. Through double compression, fibre protrusions on both the top and bottom sides of the component are removed reliably during machining.
