GOLD TOUCHES THE SKY ✨ With the second livery created through the collaboration between STARLUX Airlines and Japanese artist Hajime SORAYAMA, the sky now shines in gold. Two brand-new A350s have been transformed into larger-than-life flying masterpieces called STARLUX AIRSORAYAMA. The first A350, painted in silver, rolled out of the paint hangar a few weeks ago. Now, the paint hangar at Airbus in Toulouse, France, has opened its doors once again to reveal the golden version. It is impressive to see how the paint crew brought the artist’s vision to life using our ALEXIT BaseCoat/ClearCoat system. The golden shade is a special-effect aviation coating, since real metallic systems cannot be used on an aircraft because they would interfere with its communication systems. This aircraft is a blueprint for the perfect synergy between the vision of a world-famous artist, the design ambition of a premium airline, the craftsmanship of the paint crew and our coating manufacturer’s expertise. A big thank you to everyone involved for placing their trust in our aviation coatings. We are very proud to share these impressive images of the aircraft, and we cannot wait to see it take to the skies for the first time. Picture credit: Airbus & STARLUX Airlines
