Six Months Gone. A Lot Has Changed. The first half of 2025 tested me in ways I never anticipated — and shaped me in ways I will never forget. I was stretched far beyond my limits. There were moments of exhaustion, doubt, and sheer uncertainty. But in those same six months, I accomplished more than I ever thought possible. Every milestone fueled the next. I walked into this period with four non-negotiable goals: ✅ Restore trust ✅ Build motivation ✅ Ensure engagement ✅ Reset and refire My north star was simple: in any crisis, the most powerful lever you can pull is the PEOPLE factor — approached with empathy, deep comprehension, and intentional communication. Operating in a crisis zone, my servant leadership was not just tested — it was forged. I traveled to some of the most challenging terrains in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. Roads that demand courage. Communities that demand presence. On many occasions, 5–7 hours on motorbikes through difficult terrain was the price of showing up. In 6 months, across 15 health districts, I reached: Santa (Pinyin, Menka, Ndapang, Buchi) • Tubah • Bafut • Ndop (Baba, Bamunka) • Ndu • Ako • Abongshie • Nwa • Benakuma • Mbengwi • Njikwa • Batibo • Wum My decisions will no longer be built on assumptions — they are built on lived experience. To every pCHW, COC, DCSO staff member, colleague, collaborator, and supervisor who walked this journey with me — thank you. These milestones belong to all of us. Leadership is not about the title. It is about showing up — especially when it is hardest.
