Augusta Ada King, countess of Lovelace was an English Mathematician and writer. She was chiefly known for her work on Charles Babbage's proposed mechanical general-purpose computer, the Analytical Engine. Many people attribute the world's first algorithm to her. As a result, she is often regarded as one of the first to be a computer programmer. Ada Lovelace Day(ALD): ALD is an international celebration of the achievements of women in Science, Technology and Maths(STEM) and in doing so, create new role models who e encourage more girls into STEM careers and support women already working in STEM.
