Agnieszka Kolek’s series of watercolours from 2010, still as powerful as ever. I referenced the work in a review I wrote for The Critic, November 2021: "London based Polish artist and curator Agnieszka Kolek’s quartet of watercolours — such a gentle, innocent and delicate medium — belie a horrific stoning to death of two adulterous lovers by the Taliban in Afghanistan." https://lnkd.in/dsY7966w The erasure and killing of women and their freedom continues in Afghanistan, Iran, most parts of Islamic Africa. A brave curator should show this work in the UK & Europe.
