Created by our graduates and current students, 1838 Collective was established to support emerging artists through exhibitions, events and opportunities that sustain creative practice beyond university. Their latest exhibition, Catalyst, opens this week in Lancaster and brings together ten artists whose work has developed through shared studio culture, ongoing dialogue and collective making. Developed following support through Manchester Metropolitan University’s RISE programme, the exhibition marks an exciting new stage for the collective as they continue creating artist led platforms and building opportunities across Greater Manchester. Congratulations to everyone involved. Featuring work by: Aliya Farakh, Blake Prol Barbosa, Emily Irwin, Georgia Noble, Harriet Westgarth, Masi Naidj, Oriana Loucaidou, Rebecca Garrard, Sophie York and Yasaman Mollasalehi.
