We had a fantastic time celebrating our brand new careers space at the heart of campus! ππ€© The space forms part of our commitment to delivering an excellent education and experience for students, bringing together career guidance, enterprise support and digital development tools all in one place. Rachael Collins Deputy Director of Careers and Employability shared the story behind the space, before student Jessica Bennett highlighted how itβs bringing students together. We also loved hearing from Paul W. Early Careers Lead at The The Co-operative Bank plc about how employers can use the Careers Studio to engage with and nurture emerging talent. After hearing from speakers, guests had the opportunity to network with students, staff, and employers, including enterprise students running their own businesses. In closing, Dr Stephen Boyd Director of Careers and Employability, reflected on it's early impact, with over 800 students engaging in its first few weeks! The careers space is now open for students to drop in for CV and job applications, guidance on interviews as well as opportunities to develop business ideas with specialist support.
