I’m delighted to share my first publication as second author in The Journal of Clinical Hypertension! (Impact Factor: 2.7) “Trends and Disparities in Heart Failure Mortality Among Hypertensive Older Adults in the United States: A 22-Year Retrospective Study” 📈 A comprehensive assessment of nationwide mortality trends revealed an overall increase in HF-associated mortality among hypertensive patients aged 65 and above, from 1999 to 2020. 📊Key findings: - Female and Non-Hispanic Black populations consistently exhibited the highest AAMRs. - The Western region bore the greatest mortality burden, with states like Mississippi, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Washington, and South Dakota falling in the top 90th percentile. - Non-metropolitan areas displayed higher mortality rates compared to metropolitan areas. 💡 Our study provides an in-depth analysis of these disparities and their implications. 📖 Read more: https://lnkd.in/gmiQRWqn Congratulations to all my co-authors on this achievement!
