On Thursday Man Group hosted its Technology team offsite, bringing together technologists from across the firm for a day of talks, hands-on workshops and team-based challenges. Man Group's CTO, Gary Collier, opened the event with observations on the extraordinary pace of change in the last year and key lessons from almost 25 years at the firm. The day featured talks on AI security, lessons from AI-first organisations, and AI capability trajectories - exploring what engineering teams should prepare for next. Teams also took on cryptic puzzles and built art from retired hardware, with workshops spanning everything from 3D printing and game development to UI/UX design and origami.
