For years, the question wasn't whether aerial ladder platforms could go electric. It was how to make the chassis work around it. We found our answer. Already in production, the MAN eTGM 16 t 4x2 BL brings fully electric drive to aerial rescue and fire service vehicles on a 16-tonne platform. Designed specifically for aerial ladder applications, the platform works with the body concepts the sector already knows, thanks to its central drive concept, which creates the space needed for stabilisers and body-related components. The drivetrain delivers 210 kW, developed for the demands of emergency response. Two battery packs of 80 kWh each provide a combined 160 kWh and a range of up to 225 km*. With CCS charging up to 250 kW, the battery goes from 5% to 80% in around 35 minutes, ready before the next call comes in. The chassis comes from MAN. The fire service body: ladders, stabilisers and operational equipment, from specialist bodybuilders such as Rosenbauer. Two areas of expertise, engineered to operate as one. The missing link in the response chain. Found. Range figures were determined internally and may deviate from the values determined in accordance with EU regulations.
