Malta Public Transport was proud to support the first Tallinja Malta Youth International Athletics Festival, an event that provided Maltese athletes with the opportunity to compete alongside international competitors, gain valuable experience and raise the standard of youth athletics in Malta. The festival also welcomed the participation of Special Olympics athletes, reinforcing the importance of accessibility and inclusion in sport. In its inaugural edition, the event brought together more than 210 young athletes from Malta and abroad for a day of high-level competition, strong performances and records, while showcasing the growing potential of youth athletics. As part of its support, Malta Public Transport also sponsored a dedicated athlete lounge, offering competitors a comfortable space to rest and recharge between events, while contributing to an enhanced experience throughout the day. After the event, the lounge will be utilised as an Athlete Study & Hangout area. Supporting initiatives that encourage active lifestyles and create positive opportunities for young people remains an important part of Malta Public Transport’s commitment to the community.
