Hard work makes you lucky ✨ The other day I told my CFO that I was lucky that Opus 4.6 and Cowork just happened to come out when I was joining Zipline to lead RevOps. He quickly laughed and disagreed with me. Sometimes it’s very helpful to acknowledge your own good luck. Then, re-trace your steps back to where you made it happen. For me, most of these moments lead back to relationships I’ve cultivated or change I’ve embraced. 🤍 Mollie B. was a Claude pro before it was popular. She has shared a lot of knowledge with me. Not by chance. This got me curious enough to be in a position to early-adopt 🤍 Anne Pao became a friend through RevOps circles and RevOps Collective. I said YES to speaking on her event and the rest is history. She’s now a trusted mentor and friend, and She introduced me to Zipline 🤍 6-7 years ago I said yes to starting a new kind of role at Terminus. It was not marketing ops, not sales ops, but something ambiguous in between. I trusted Tim Kopp and Oliver Bell and said yes to a job I hadn’t done before. This set me on the RevOps path I could go back further but I think you get the idea. Luck is not random. Amazing things don’t just drop into your lap — they are the result of hard work, preparation, and curiosity. Take this Monday to think about the next lucky break you want to create. Put it into the universe 🪐
