Diplomat – Embassy of Kazakhstan in the USA
This has been a particularly significant week for Kazakhstan–U.S. relations 🇰🇿🇺🇸 A U.S. delegation led by Special Envoy Sergio Gor visited Kazakhstan, adding further momentum to our political and economic dialogue. Assistant Secretary of Commerce David Fogel also spoke at the Astana Mining & Metallurgy Congress (AMM), where the United States was represented with a national pavilion and where C5+🇺🇸 discussions on critical minerals were at the center of the agenda. Over the weekend, the Government of Kazakhstan, NVIDIA AI and Firebird AI signed a package of artificial intelligence agreements worth 10 billion USD 🚀 The investment will enable the creation of a massive computing cluster based on 100,000 next‑generation GPU chips, including NVIDIA GB300 and Vera Rubin, and is expected to generate at least 3 billion USD in annual export revenue, create new jobs, attract global technology companies, and strengthen Kazakhstan’s position as a key digital hub in Eurasia. The weekend also saw the visit of U.S. International Development Finance Corporation CEO Ben Black, following up on arrangements made earlier this year. In Astana, he was received by the Head of State and held meetings with SAMRUK-KAZYNA SWF and key sectoral companies to discuss concrete investment projects; in Almaty, he met with private businesses and experienced first‑hand the dynamic business environment of our southern capital. Kazakhstan is economically strong, politically stable and a trusted partner, with an internationally aligned legal and regulatory framework and a key role as an anchor of the Middle Corridor. All of this makes Kazakhstan an ideal place for DFC to consider opening its next regional office 😉
