I’m pleased to announce that on Friday I completed my 8 week internship at Sky within the Group Strategy team. I’d like to start off by thanking Jack Morris and Claudia Gilchrist for their amazing management of the internship, including the invaluable feedback they provided me throughout. The skills development I had during those 8 weeks is in large part a testament to them! Through the internship, I’ve been able to work on a variety of things such as building a business case for my group project, evaluating trends in the sports league distribution market for my individual project, and supporting the team in their exploration of AI. Aside from projects, I also got the chance to see the Premier League trophy, original Wicked costumes, and the famed Sky News box every day! It’s safe to say I had a great summer at Sky, both from a professional development perspective and as a fan of sports and media. I’m grateful for this experience and I’d like to thank Rashida Namakambo for facilitating the application process and the Strategy team for being so welcoming and helpful! I look forward to using all the skills and insights I gained this summer in the future.
