Makerere University Business School Announces 29th Annual International Management Conference Theme: Revolutionizing Skills-Based Education for Employability and Socio-Economic Transformation Dates: September 23–26, 2025 Venue: Mestil Hotel, Kampala, Uganda Makerere University Business School (MUBS) is proud to host the 29th Annual International Management Conference (AIMC), a premier gathering of global thought leaders, educators, policymakers, and industry professionals. Scheduled for September 23–26, 2025, this year’s conference will explore innovative approaches to skills-based education as a catalyst for employability and socio-economic development. The conference will feature keynote addresses from distinguished speakers including Prof. Sakhela Buhlungu , Dr. Darlington Okafor, alongside interactive panels, research paper presentations, and workshops. Delegates will engage with sub-themes such as entrepreneurship and innovation, leadership and governance, ICT in education, hospitality and tourism, and curriculum decolonization. “This year’s theme reflects our commitment to transforming education systems to meet the demands of a dynamic workforce,” said Peter Odoki, Public Relations Officer at MUBS. “We aim to foster actionable dialogue that bridges academia, industry, and policy.” Participants are invited to submit abstracts and full papers by July 30, 2025. Selected papers will be published in the Makerere Business Journal (MBJ) following peer review. Registration is now open for local and international participants, students, and online attendees.
