Sustainability and sophistication. Two sides of the same vision. Based in Porto, This is Pacifica is an independent design studio certified in EcoDesign and awarded from Portugal to Cannes. Their contribution to Make a Mark celebrates a recent discovery: wild truffles growing in the Oeste region of Portugal. Levita transforms this rare ingredient into a culinary ritual, where packaging becomes an integral part of the meal. Encased in a custom jar and sealed with a wooden slicer lid, Levita is taken directly to the table. The truffle is sliced in front of the guest, blending beauty and functionality into a singular gesture of refinement. This is nature honored from earth to table. The ritual of rarity. Creating packaging that elevates truffle presentation to the level of ceremony required materials chosen through the lens of EcoDesign: The Vessel: ESTAL engineered a custom jar designed to transition seamlessly from kitchen to table, becoming a serving vessel that honors the ingredient's rarity and natural origins. The Stone Canvas: Avery Dennison provided Limestone FSC® paper, evoking organic tactility while dramatically reducing environmental impact by eliminating traditional wood pulp, proving sustainability enhances rather than compromises luxury. The Subtle Shimmer: LEONHARD KURZ applied LUXOR® 352 foil with precision, adding refined accents that enhance the nature-driven aesthetic without compromising recyclability. Developed with Tapì, the custom wooden lid includes an integrated slicer, offering practicality with elegance while minimizing the need for additional utensils. Glass, wood, cork, and stone-textured paper form a sustainable whole, where every material serves a purpose and every surface tells a story.
