A decisive step toward safer repairs Until now, standardized measurement procedures to reliably verify the functionality of ADAS sensors after accidents or repairs – particularly to body parts – have been lacking. MAHLE and Rohde & Schwarz are now closing this gap with a joint technological solution. By combining the TechPRO® Digital ADAS 2.0 Extra calibration system from MAHLE with the high-precision R&S® RadEsT radar tester, the new application enables ADAS sensors to be measured and validated in a traceable, standardized way after repairs. This helps workshops and inspection bodies generate reliable, reproducible results, while opening the door to future use in periodic technical inspections. “With this innovation, we are taking driver assistance systems to the next level. For the first time, their functionality after a repair becomes measurable, traceable, and standardizable. This is not only a technological advancement — it is a decisive step toward greater safety, transparency, and trust across the entire mobility ecosystem,” said Felix-Matthias Walter, Director Service Solutions at MAHLE Lifecycle and Mobility. This joint development demonstrates how partnerships across the value chain can solve real-world challenges while setting new standards — and can be experienced live tomorrow at TÜV MobiCon in Berlin. #ADAS #Automotive #VehicleSafety #Innovation #Aftermarket #Mobility #MAHLE #RohdeAndSchwarz #LifecycleAndMobility
